When you take part in MELANIUM, we use the information you provide to manage the awards, event participation and your enquiries.

Information you provide

Depending on how you participate, this may include account details, nominations and nominee stories, contact information, partnership and volunteer enquiries, ticket orders, guest preferences, and voting or judging submissions. Please only provide information you are authorised to share.

How it is used

The organizing team uses this information to review nominations, coordinate the event, communicate with participants, verify admissions and payments, and administer judging and community voting. Nominee publication requires the platform’s approval and public-consent controls. Staff access depends on assigned permissions.

Updates and email

The updates list uses email confirmation. You can unsubscribe using the link provided in the updates or contact the team for help.

Cookies and browser storage

WordPress uses cookies for account access and session management. The optional nominee shortlist uses storage on your own device. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts; your browser connects to that provider to display them. If a form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, that service helps protect against automated submissions.

External payments and links

Payment options, when available, may take you to an external provider. Its privacy terms apply on that service. MELANIUM does not ask you to enter payment-card details into nomination or enquiry forms.

Questions, corrections or removal requests

To ask about your information, request a correction, or discuss deletion and event-record retention, contact manage@wakanda.ca. Some records may need to be retained for event administration, accounting or legal obligations.
